What is the difference between the Start-up Visa Program and the Maple Program?

The Start-up Visa Program is a Canadian Government program started in 2012 for immigrant entrepreneurs with the skills and potential to build businesses in Canada that are innovative, can create jobs for Canadians, and can compete on a global scale.

The Maple Program is a program created by Launch Academy designed to work side by side with Start-up Visa applicants. The Maple Program is designed to help companies prepare for a move to Canada and provide support services once in Canada. The program is broken up into three phases, over an aggregate span of approximately 6 to 12 months. Accepted applicants and their core team members are immediately eligible to apply for Start-up Visa Working Visas, and Permanent Residency applications have an estimated processing time of 6 months.

Companies with Start-up Visa support letter from another designated entity may sign up for the Maple program without going through the application process.
