What is the difference between the Start-up Visa Program and the Maple Program?

The Start-up Visa Program  was created by the Government of Canada for immigrant entrepreneurs who are innovative, competitive on a global scale and provides jobs for Canadians. To learn more about the Start-up Visa Program, please visit the official Government website.

The Maple Program was created by Launch Academy as a designated entity of the Start-up Visa program. Launch Academy is able to recommend companies by issuing a Support Certificate required by the SUV Porogram. The program is designed to aid international companies in their growth and expansion to Canada and North America through providing a landing pad with resources, mentorship, networking, and business matchmaking to overcome the challenges that occur when moving a business and family to Canada. Upon succesfully enrollment and completion of the first two phases of the Maple Program, a Support Certificate will be issued to the company to apply for the Start-Up Visa Program.

Companies with Start-up Visa support letter from another designated entity may sign up for the Maple program without going through the application process.
