How do I successfully complete each Phase of the Maple Program?

Application Process:

  • Submission of your Assesment Form
  • Submission of your Startup Visa Application Form (This will be sent out to you via email within 48 hours of your Assesment Form submission)
  • Submission of your Member Profile Form (This will be sent out to you via email within 48 hours of your Assesment Form submission)

It takes about 6-8 weeks for us to review each application with Cohort start dates beginning in January, May or September. All companies will be receiving a notice of their application status within a 2 month time frame. If your application is not accepted, we do encourage you to continue to work on growing your startup and to apply again for the next cohort. 

 

Phase 1:

  • Acceptance into the Maple Program
  • Mandatory attendance of each Webinar presentation (8 total)
  • Mandatory attendance of personalized one-on-one Office Hours with each of our speakers
  • Completion of Phase 1 assesment form
  • Completion of Thinkific Course


Phase 2:
After successful completion of Phase 1, you will be required to submit your Start-up Visa Road-Map, which lists your plans on moving your business to Canada. If the Road-Map is proven viable, we will work with your team to issue the Letter of Support and your arrival in Canada for Phase 2 of the program. Documentation and checkpoints for the completion of Phase 2 include:

  • Incorporation of your company in BC, Canada & Documentation
  • Submission of your Maple Timeline for the next 12 months
  • Detailed Member Chart of all your Co-Founders & their roles
  • Capitalization Table
  • Attendance of Phase 2 Webinars
  • Detailed outline of your Immigration path
  • Bank statements/records
  • Completed Roadmap Submission

To qualify for Phase 3

Once you have completed Phase two, you will begin Phase 3 in Vancouver, Canada in which you will be spending the next 4 months with us at Launch Academy to prepare your company for the Canadian market. The objective of phase 3 is to help your company get acclimated to the Canadian climate and rebuild your business network. Checkpoints and opportunities include:

  • Attending personalized one on one meetings with our partners, community leaders and mentors.
  • Optional attendance to Cxo Events, private, invite-only events, local community events
  • Submission of PR application before the expiration date on the Letter of Support
  • Access to Launch Academy's network of mentors, advisors, strategic subject matter experts, investors and community leaders.
  • 2 Complimentary tickets to Traction Conference – most anticipated North American Tech Conference

Once you have completed the Maple Program succesfully, you will be recognized as one of Launch Academy's network of alumni companies and will continue to have access to various resources, public and private events and other services Launch Academy provides to it's companies.
